The people behind the Fifth Third Edition
FifthThirdStore is a small marketplace for hand-picked Android modules run out of Podgorica, Crna Gora. The Fifth Third Edition is the current quarterly shelf.
Why we started
We started FifthThirdStore because we wanted to install a handful of well-behaved Android utilities without wading through the noise of a general-purpose app store. Every module on the Fifth Third Edition passes an editorial review before it lands on the shelf — the reviewer runs the app for a full week on a personal device, writes a short report, and either signs the module for release or sends it back to the developer with a set of requested changes.
The editorial team
The Fifth Third editorial team is a rotating jury of four: two photographers who own the Fifth Third Photography and Fifth Third Media shelves, one Android platform engineer who owns the Fifth Third Utilities shelf, and one accessibility researcher who owns the Fifth Third Productivity shelf. Every Wednesday morning they meet for an hour, publish the Fifth Third Wednesday drop and rotate the on-call editor for the coming week.
Where we sit
FifthThirdStore d.o.o. is registered in Podgorica, Crna Gora. We operate out of a two-room studio on ul. Vaka Đurovića, above a bakery that also happens to run one of the better espresso machines in the neighbourhood.
How we make money
Every Fifth Third module carries a small monthly subscription. Half of the subscription goes to the developer of the module, a quarter goes to the editorial team as a per-hour honorarium, and the remaining quarter covers infrastructure, payment fees and the studio rent.
What we do not do
We do not sell advertising on the Fifth Third shelves. We do not resell workspace metadata. We do not accept sponsored placements on the Fifth Third Editor’s Pick. If a Fifth Third module ships with an on-device telemetry SDK, it is documented in the module data sheet and can be disabled from the settings screen.
